Çevresel Sürdürülebilirlik Ve İnsan Kaynakları Yönetimi Fonksiyonlarının Yeşil İKY Bağlamında Değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Özellikle 21.yy ile birlikte çevresel kaynakların hızla tükenmeye başlaması işletmeleri sürdürülebilirlik politikalarını gözden geçirerek çevresel konularda çok daha proaktif davranmaya sevk etmiştir. Artık işletmeler çevresel konulara çok daha hassas biçimde yaklaşarak sürdürülebilirlik ve sosyal sorumluluk kapsamında çevresel politikalar geliştirmektedirler. Bu doğrultuda işletmenin iç paydaşları ve vazgeçilmez bir unsuru olan çalışanlara çevresel bilinç kazandırılması işletmelerin çevresel politika süreçlerinin vazgeçilmez bir parçasıdır. Çalışanlara çevresel bilincin kazandırılması noktasında insan kaynakları yönetimi fonksiyonlarına ciddi görev düşmektedir. Yeşil İKY olarak literatüre geçen ve giderek yaygınlaşan insan kaynakları süreçlerinin çevresel unsurlar dikkate alarak dizayn edilmesi süreci, işletmelerin çevresel hedeflerine ulaşmasında kilit işletme fonksiyonlarından biridir. Literatür incelendiğinde sürdürülebilirlik ve çevresel politikalara uyum için kilit önem taşıyan Yeşil İKY kavramının yabancı literatürde sıklıkla çalışılan bir konu olmakla birlikte Türkiye’de az sayıda çalışma olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı Yeşil İKY kavramını ortaya koymak, Yeşil İKY sürecini bütüncül bir yaklaşımla ele almak ve Dünyada Yeşil İKY konusunda gerçekleştirilen çalışmalardan örnekler sunarak literatüre katkı sağlamaktır. Bu doğrultuda Dünya ve Türkiye’de Yeşil İKY konusunda yapılmış araştırmalar incelenmiş ve uygulamadaki örnekler ortaya konmuştur.

Evaluation of Environmental Sustainability and Human Resources Management Functions in the Context of Green HRM

Abstract

Nowadays, businesses approach environmental issues more sensitively and develop environmental policies within the scope of sustainability and social responsibility. In this direction, providing environmental awareness to the employees, who are the internal stakeholders and an indispensable element of the enterprise, is an indispensable part of the environmental policy processes of the enterprises. Human resources management functions have a serious role to play in raising environmental awareness to employees. The process of designing human resources processes taking into account environmental factors, which is mentioned in the literature as Green HRM, is one of the key business functions for businesses to achieve their environmental goals. The aim of this study is to define the concept of Green HRM, to handle the Green HRM process with a holistic approach and to contribute to the literature by presenting examples from the studies conducted on Green HRM in the World. In this direction, researches on Green HRM in the world and in Turkey were examined and examples in practice were presented.
