İnovasyon-Temelli Ekonomi: Seçilmiş Ülkeler Üzerine Bir Uygulama

Öz

İnovasyon, gelişmiş ülkelerin yanı sıra gelişmekte olan ülkelerin de daha yüksek kalkınma aşamalarına ulaşmalarını ve ekonomik ve sosyal dönüşümleri gerçekleştirmelerini sağlayan faktörlerden birisi olmuştur ve olmaya da devam etmektedir. Bu çalışmada ekonomik büyüme ile inovasyon arasındaki ilişki seçilmiş ülkeler özelinde 1990-2011 dönemi için incelenmiştir. Analiz sonuçları inovasyonun ekonomik büyümeyi beklentilere uygun olarak pozitif etkilediğini göstermektedir. Ayrıca inovasyon göstergeleri ile iktisadi büyüme arasında hem uzun, hem de kısa dönemli ilişki vardır. Buna göre uzun dönemde özel sektör Ar-Ge harcamalarındaki ve elektronik endüstrisi ihracatındaki%1’lik artış, GSYH’yi yaklaşık olarak %0.46 ve %0.16 oranında artıracaktır. Kısa dönemde bu katsayılar %0.19 ve %0.03 olarak tahmin edilmiştir
