The purpose of this study is to evaluate the causality between the creation process of money and tax revenue in the sample of Turkey within the context of Cartalist Approach. In this context, annual tax revenue and money supply (M2) data, which are included for the period between 1975 and 2014, are compiled. In the analysis process Johansen Cointegration and Granger Causality Tests are used. According to the tests, there is a long term cointegrated relationship between money supply and tax revenue. The results also indicate that there is a statistically significant causal relationship to the money creation process from the total (indirect and direct) tax revenue. These results support the views of the Cartalist Approach, which is about to the process of the creation of taxed based Money.
